Art and culture, as you may be aware, are more important than ever. Integrating arts into various sectors will encourage the young and old to collaborate and have a hugely positive impact. By doing this, it is improving the socioeconomic development of a community that lacks support for young people in the industry using arts as a voice. Yes, because the youth are the driving force of a nation.

1. Dictionary defines Art as, Arts is expression of feelings. The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, produces works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. "The art of the Renaissance”

2. Second defines art as a various branches of creative activity, such as painting, music, literature, and dance.
Art is the activity by which a person, having experienced an emotion, intentionally transmits it to others” – Leo Tolstoy

Art is a big industry that can help to shore up our revenue. When Nigerians travel out of the country, they visit art galleries, attend exhibitions and conduct museum visits. Nigeria has the capacity to tap into the $65.1 billion global art market. The introduction of art into every sector such as in medicine, engineering, politics, military, leadership, and technology could serve as an expression and vivid imagination for a person to have a second thought. According to studies, creative expression helps to maintain our immune systems, and art has been clinically proven to reduce stress, improve mood, and lower blood pressure. In fact, studies show that patients who are exposed to art during their hospital stay heal faster and have a better overall experience. I believe that by understanding and appreciating our surroundings is a gift. Art is a gift, and the act of giving oneself in order to make a change is art.

Art can help in solving problems and improving in critical thinking. This includes using different methods and materials to figure our the solution through art. In the aspect of wide range of visual art painting, drawing, and printmaking. Art which may increase in happiness, health, fulfillment, and well-being should be a means adopted by different industries to provide business boost. Think of time where you admire a design, photograph, painting, drawing, or even movies that has lifted your spirit. Yes, any work of art that you have come across to has one way or the order inspired you. In today’s world arts are used for protesting or creating awareness be it in health, politics, business or social change. In a nutshell, the government should invest more in young African artists to bring them to the lime light and by doing so this will contribute to the socioeconomic development of the nation. To the young artists out there, when you have that fire within you, be clear of what you want to do and get it out there through your artworks. Because if you look around you there’s art in fragments everywhere if you can find peace within yourself, you will find meaning in it. Let us unite to make the world a better place.
